Habitat’s vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat works toward this vision by building and improving homes in partnership with individuals and families in need of a decent and affordable place to live. Habitat serves households that fall within 25-80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). Family selection is based on financial readiness to pay zero-interest loan payments, willingness to partner in the building of the home, meeting residential requirements, and their need for housing. Homeownership helps families achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families.
