Ending Bunny Homelessness in the Treasure Valley Save a Bun Rabbit Rescue’s number one goal is saving the stray and homeless bunnies in the Treasure Valley and keeping more bunnies from being abandoned. It’s a tragic misconception that like their wild counterparts, domestic rabbits can survive on their own. Once dumped, a pet bunny will quickly become food, and if multiple bunnies are abandoned together, they can start a feral colony. To prevent this, we always say yes to people wanting to surrender their rabbits, spay/neuter our bunnies to avoid contributing to rabbit over-population, and venture out on late-night rescue trips to catch and save stray bunnies.
