The Process Management Lab (PML) wants to take on projects that will bring value to all our stakeholders: nonprofit organizations, students, OPWL, Boise State University, and the community.
PML provides affordable and accessible university expertise and services to the nonprofit community. To this end, OPWL faculty donate their pro bono consulting time and expertise. Hot Rocks Consulting (HRC) charges below-market rates for the work–just high enough to:
• Obtain organizational sponsorship, time, and commitment from our nonprofit partners.
• Provide an authentic, low-risk learning environment where students and graduates can work with experts to gain real-world experience creating project deliverables, crafting proposals, estimating work, tracking time, and billing for their work.
• Pay students and associates as project consultants to cover their expenses and compensate them for some opportunity costs.
