About us
Idaho Harm Reduction Project works to serve the drug using community of Idaho, as well as the general public by creating safe communities through evidence based programming, education, needle exchange and appropriate needle disposal. The Idaho Harm Reduction Project was started by three public health professionals, who saw a gap in services in their home community. Their aim was to create resources for drug users and families, reducing harm throughout the state. Natives of Boise, Idaho, these women have a combined 21 years experience in Public Health.

We’re hiring 2 part-time Peer Support staff for our new Low Barrier Bupe Program at our Boise location! This is a supportive role that will help provide compassionate care to our participants by assessing needs and connecting them with a range of services. This position requires a deep knowledge of substance use, the local community, and a strong desire to work with people who use and inject drugs as a direct service provider. People who use(d) drugs, current or former sex workers, people of color, women, members from the LGBTQ+ communities, those who have experienced housing insecurity, people who have received harm reduction services, and people living with HIV/AIDS and/or hepatitis C are strongly encouraged to apply.
