About us
Habitat for Humanity Idaho became an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International in 1994. We repair and build homes for low-income families who qualify for our programs based on need, residency, willingness to become partners, and ability to repay the no-interest mortgage. Homeownership allows families to build strength, stability, and self-reliance. Habitat is a perpetual pay-it-forward system. As homeowners pay down their interest-free mortgage, those funds are used by Habitat for Humanity Idaho Falls to build and rehabilitate additional affordable homes. Our mission statement reads, "Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope." Together, we intend to produce affordable housing for as many families as possible in the Idaho Falls area.
